Property Maintenance Events (PME)
Maintaining a property of this size is a massive undertaking. Our Property Maintenance Events (PMEs) are a very
critical part of the CCPO Lease. In our first year of the lease, lease members and their guests set out to repair the damage of
years past by filling in holes, repairing trails, collecting litter, and making the property look more natural. It is through this
hard work and responsible prospecting activities which permit us to utilize this property for years to come.
Membership PME
Each CCPO lease member is required to perform three hours of work each annual year. Our goal is not to restore Contrary
Creek to the way it was 200 years ago. That would take an army of workers and years to accomplish.
As far as the property is concerned, our goals are two-fold:
1. Be responsible in our prospecting activities so that we do not damage the creek or surrounding area.
2. Repair previously damamge caused by many different activities to the best of our abilities.
Members complete a very small amount of work over the course of the year. However, many hands make light work in our spirit of team work and
concentrated efforts. Our work is based on individual pride, pride in our hobby, and pride in the property. Here are some photos of some of the
